So, I think I am FINALLY done moving and re-organizing the baby's things. I took some photos for everyone to see the nursery nearly or pretty much complete. Only thing missing--BABY! I have SO much fun in his room. I like to check out his clothes, organize the toys, count the diapers and wipes : )
I just wanted to post what a great husband I have, too. Jerret has been so helpful and supportive that it almost makes me cry! (Really cry, not just preggo cry!) He is gonna be a super fun daddy and I'm so excited for _______ (insert baby's name) to meet him in person! We will, by the way, be announcing his name AFTER the birth! We will probably post on this blog a couple of pictures and some updates about the babe. Our cell phones will be turned on/barely used for EMERGENCIES only : ) We need time to bond, people. Technology is not needed at the hospital : )
So, here it is.....

Mother's Day 2009!
Monday, May11, 2009
So I had my FIRST mother's day celebration yesterday! It was super fun and Jerret got me such a cute purse and he wrote a beautiful poem. We celebrated by spending time together, Jerret grilling, and a nice little nap on the couch!
(He is going be happy that he let me celebrate, even if baby is still in my belly : ) I already know what Mr. Boy Batson will get him!)
Anyway, so I thought I would share a few verses that we read together in church yesterday. The verse really comforted me about going through labor and delivery--and the bigger challenge--being a mom!
Psalm 40
"I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand...Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to sepak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare."
I just felt led to share these verses because they really meant a lot to me.

While we often post prayer requests that are our needs and wants, I try to post stuff about how great God is to us too. So, I thought I would share a post about how awesomely great my Rooftop friends are! On Monday I had a surprise baby shower at my small group! LOTS of ladies from Rooftop were there and I got super cute presents, yummy cake and enjoyed spending some social time with them. I am SO happy to be involved in the Monday and Wednesday night groups and am just super lucky to have been blessed with such amazing women friends (and those guys on Wed!). The girls wanted to be on the blog--and of course I can't miss ANOTHER shower posting! I'm so thankful to ALL my friends and family who are thinking of Jerret, baby and I during our pregnancy. We are super duper excited to meet Mr. B. and will take our computer to the hospital to post some blog pics! We love you all!

33 weeks= Only 7 more to go!
Wednesday, April 15--Tax Day!
Went to the doctor and she said I am doing well. The file is skinny with minimal notes and no issues, she said she likes patients like me! I like being a simple case too! Thank God for that!
I am SOOOO slowing down. I can't do all the things I use to do anymore. I am loving this cool spring weather (NOT the cold weather!) and just patiently awaiting the time to whip out my flip flops. (and be able to wear the nicer sandals to work!) My feet are big, but otherwise I am feeling super great.
The baby had the hiccups yesterday---and I think he gets them in the afternoon about 3 times per week. (Although, I can't say for sure). He was hiccuping on the side of my belly for about 10 minutes! It was so cute. I just loved it!
7 weeks to go and counting! Baby showers are: Thursday, April 23 at work!, Sunday, April 26th in DuQuoin and then Saturday, May 2 in Tremont! Come by any of them for some chocolate cake!
I don't have any super updated pics at the moment, so I will work on that. The KC boys didnt share any of their pics from their phone with me.....hmmmm...boys? Any pics from your trip to STL? LMK!
Here are a few pictures of Melissa, my work friend at SLU, and I. This was last fall when we were acting silly after eating too many chocolate fruit cups! I was thinking of these photos because I wanted to wear this dress to my showers.....but remembered that I won't fit! Ah well!
